Change an event in life

If I could change an event that happened in my life, I would change the day that my great grandma died. I mean, she was older and it must have been her time, but I still did not want her to die. She was such a loving woman. Even as she was slowly dying, she held me as I cried because I knew she was going to leave me. I remember being little and going to sleep over her house almost every weekend. She used to walk me around her apartments and show me to all of her friends. Then we would go back to her apartment and watch tv on her old fuzzy tv, and eat popcorn. Every time I slept over she used to paint my nails red so I could match hers. That is my favorite memory of her. Then she turned 90, and she was too old and sick to take care of herself so she got put in a nursing home. I visited her every Sunday after church for the next 4 years until she passed away, and now it hurts to even drive past it.
If my grandma was still alive and she never passed away, it would affect not only my life, but it would affect my entire family and family friends. My grandma touched so many peoples lives with her kind hearted personality, and her warming smile.

My father <3

The most important person in my life is my father. I value his presence in my life so much, because I know so many people that are not fortunate enough to have their fathers in their life every day. He works hard to always provides me, my mom, and my sisters with everything we want and need. He is always here for me and for anyone else when they need someone to talk to or just "a shoulder to cry on". Even if we are not in the best financial state as a family, he tries his hardest to always have us looking clean and nice and with food in our stomachs. He not only raised me and my younger sister, he also raised my older sister, who has a different father,  I look up to him more than anyone else for that reason alone. Most men wouldn't take that responsibility and handle it the way he did. My sisters dad was kind of in her life, but my dad was her dad, and she was my fathers daughter. We've never used the term "step daughter / sister". But to get back on topic, I just want to say ever since day one my dad has been my hero, my best friend and my idol.  I love and appreciate him more than any one in the world. <3

Highlight of my summer

Although I had a pretty eventful and interesting summer, the highlight of it was definitely my vacation. I chose my vacation out of all the exciting things I did this summer, because  it was the most memorable and unforgettable experience of my entire life. While I was on vacation I got closer with my family and even made a few new friends. Before we went on the ship, we went to south beach in Miami and to a few shops downtown. It was so cool to see all the famous stores and restaurants that I heard about on tv, in person. After we left the beach and shops, we boarded the ship. We spent a day on the ship while it was sailing to our first port, which was Turks and Caicos. While we were docked there we stayed at the beach and did a little shopping, it was a lot of fun, but the real fun didn't start until two days later. Since it was our last port on the cruise, we wanted to do some adventurous things. We swam with sting rays, snorkeled, and my sister even went parasailing! It was a blast. I never in a million years would see myself doing those things, but thatwas the highlight of my summer and I am still grateful to have been able to go on that amazing trip.

My name

Belle <3

 Belle is not my first,
 But my middle name.
 I prefer Belle over Janesa.
 Simply because,
 It is easier to spell
To pronounce.
Plus I was named after my grandma.
That is why I love my name.
It is a great honor,
To have been named after her.
Now I never got the privilege,
To meet her face to face.
But I know she was amazing,
Outstanding,
Beautiful,
Sweet.
And did I forget to mention,
"Belle" means,
Beautiful in French?
Which gives me more of a reason
To love my middle name.
Ever since I was a child,
I have loved  my name.
People used to call me,
Princess Belle.
From beauty and the beast.
And some people just simply
Called me Belle.
Mostly family, though.

As a little girl,
My father used to tell me
Many stories of my grandma.
How loving and caring she was.
I really wish,
That I could have met her.
I feel like I have in a way,
From all the beautiful stories
I have heard about her.
Daddy always used to tell me
If she were to meet me,
She would be jumping for joy
At the fact that we share the same
Middle name.
That she would be proud
Of the young lady I am becoming.
How much I would remind her
Of how she was at my age.
She is the reason
I try hard in life.
So she can look down on me
And smile
Knowing that I am serving her name
The way it deserves to be served.
Respectfully.
Respecting my self and others.
Just like her.

Iappreciate my name a lot.
Because it was handed down
From such a humble woman.
That is why I will continue
To do well in life
And to love my name
Because i want to make sure,
I do her name justice.
She definitely deserves it.
 I love you, grandma. <3

Most important rule.

The most important rule in my opinion, is for people to have control over their actions and words. What I mean by that is basically think before speaking and acting upon problems. Another way to say this is just simply having self control. A situation where someone may need to have self control, is if they wake up late, they have a bad hair day, forget their homework, and on top of all of that; they have a huge test that day and they did not study for it. This person is already upset about all the problems they are having that day, and to make matters worse, the most aggravating kid in the class sits next to them and starts bothering them while they are studying for the test. Their first reaction would be to tell the person to shut up and leave them alone, which would lead into more conflict. So to save them self from future problems, they could calmly say " I am trying to study, so please leave me alone until I am finished?" Just changing that simple sentence could prevent so many future problems.
